We welcome all abilities and age groups and cover many different kayaking disciplines, such as river-running, surfing, Wavehopper racing and sea kayaking.
You do not need your own equipment as we can provide it for you.

During the winter months we hold practise sessions at Blyth Sports Centre pool between September April. This is a good time to give it a go if you are interested, simply come to the sport centre and meet us on the balcony at 3:45pm on Saturdays. You will get wet so bring a towel.

In the finer months of the year we get to try out all our new skills we have learnt in the pool on the open water.
The club currently has 5 qualified instructors who are able to assess your ability and help you progress towards the British Canoe Union personal performance tests.

Our members are very willing to help with community group and currently run sessions both at the pool and outdoors for groups such as Scouts, Girl Guides, the less-able and children from Chernobyl
