 Blyth Kayak Club Events 2008 

River Clean Up Day 6th July in aid of the

Sara's Hope Foundation

All Money Raised on the day will go to charity

We will be holding a river clean up for all club members and families. Clubs all round the country have had there own clean up days so its our turn to help.

All rubbish that finds its way into our rivers eventually pollutes our water ends up in the sea and washes up on our beaches. That's why we see rubbish on our waterways.

  We will be clearing rubbish in the morning and there will be a variety of activities going on throughout the day. Paddle2climb.co.uk have kindly offered there time to come down and do demonstrations in a variety of outdoor activities including Bushcraft. They have also offered to bring down a selection of boats for people to try. There will also be bankside activities including a raffle, BBQ, Face painting etc. Anyone who wants to help or hold there own activity please let us know.

Blyth Kayak Club Lake District Trip 25th - 27th July 2008

We are staying at the Sykeside Camping Park, Brotherswater, Patterdale on the nights of Friday 25th & Saturday 26th July 2008.

The Committee & Coaches are booked into the bunkhouse, which still has availability for this weekend.  Alternatively there is a B&B on-site, or camping & caravan pitches.   

All club members are welcome to attend, however, you must be able to transport your own kayaks and equipment.  We will be paddling on Lake Windermere all day Saturday, and most of Sunday.  If you are unsure of your paddling ability regarding this trip please speak to one of the coaches before booking.
